MONTREAL, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 — The Public Service Alliance of Canada, Quebec Region, is holding a rally at noon on Wednesday, in front of the Sherbrooke Gouverneur OTL, to remind Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his ministers of their promise to do better than the Conservatives and treat their public service workers with respect.

Montreal, December 7, 2018 – While the 93 employees affected by Aéroports de Montréal’s threat to contract out their jobs are waiting to hear back from their employer, ADM’s senior management has cancelled today’s scheduled meeting, the union announced.

Yvon Barrière, Regional Executive Vice-President of PSAC-Quebec, was to meet with Philippe Rainville, Aéroports de Montréal’s President and CEO, at 10:45 this morning in his office. ADM decided to cancel the meeting, even though the union was pressing for one.

MONTREAL, December 7, 2018 —The 93 customer service, administrative support and safety officers at Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport have been told that Aéroports de Montréal management plans to contract out their work. They have until December 28 to agree to cut their working conditions by 27 to 33%, or face lay-offs. The situation is intolerable and inhumane, says the Unité des cols blancs d’Aéroports de Montréal, a local affiliate of the Public Service Alliance of Canada that represents Aéroports de Montréal’s white-collar workers.

MONTREAL, December 10, 2018 – The 90 ENAP course lecturers affiliated with the Public Service Alliance of Canada, Quebec region (PSAC-Quebec), have approved an initial collective agreement that now refers to them as contractual professors. The new designation is a key component of the collective bargaining for the employees who teach in the masters and doctoral programs at ENAP, a branch of Université du Québec.

Quebec City, November 8, 2018 – The members of Local 10127 of the Public Service Alliance of Canada, Quebec region (PSAC-Quebec), which represents the researchers, technicians and engineers at FPInnovations in Quebec City, have voted 73% in favour of ratifying a new three-year collective agreement.

 The approximately 50 unionized employees at FPInnovations in Quebec City had been without an employment contract since March 31, 2018. Negotiations resumed after members approved a rotating strike mandate on October 23.
