Guy-Favreau: update on asbestos tests and the appearance of bedgugs

We received numerous documents from your employers in mid-April and have spent the last several weeks carefully analyzing the data.

The tests conducted by your employers detected no significant trace of asbestos in the workplace. Nevertheless, we have pushed for more extensive testing with the help of other unions representing public service workers in your building. We are now waiting for those tests to be completed.

Yesterday, Executive Vice-President for PSAC-Quebec Sébastien Paquette wrote to Joël Lightbound, the Minister of Government Transformation, Public Works and Procurement and Quebec Lieutenant, asking him to authorize remote work while we wait for the extensive testing results.

Finally, we recently learned that your workplace is infested with bed bugs. We immediately called on your employers to exterminate them and are waiting for updates.

We are continuing to follow this matter closely and will keep you informed as the situation develops.
