Who is Julien Rougerie?
Julien Rougerie graduated in 2011 with a master’s degree in Project Management from Sorbonne University in Paris. Ever since, he got involved in a variety of projects in the non-profit sector in France, the U. S. and Canada.
Appalled by the invisibility of 2SLGBTQ+ seniors, he joined Fondation Émergence in April 2017 to run the Aging Gayfully program, dedicated to raising awareness about sexual and gender diversity in senior settings. Since May 2019, he also manages the Chosen Family program, dedicated to supporting 2SLGBTQ+ unpaid caregivers. Most of his job is dedicated to create awareness tools and give training sessions to workers offering services to seniors and unpaid caregivers, in order to help them having a more inclusive approach toward sexual and gender diversity.
