ÉNAP: Contract professors sign new agreement

Mission accomplished! After a year of bargaining, contract professors at the École nationale d’administration publique (ÉNAP) have signed their new collective agreement, effective until 2026. 

“Everyone agrees that the bargaining was conducted in a respectful and collaborative manner,” said PSAC-Quebec union advisor Manon Ouellet.

The collective agreement provides for the following salary increases: 

  • 2022: 2%
  • 2023: 3.25%
  • 2024: 2.50%
  • 2025: 2%
  • 2026: 2% or GSP

The new contract’s highlights include:

  • One remuneration package for all employees, regardless of the teaching platform
  • Adjustment to the number of hours for union leave
  • Allocation of $500 per year for the purchase of computer equipment
  • Increase in the cancellation lump sum to 15%
  • Increase in the amount for each student in excess of the ratio from $150 to $200
  • Establishment of a student/teacher ratio 
  • Substantial improvements to the allocation system to ensure course distribution is more equitable for all employees
  • Greater recognition of employees and the union, including with regards to participation in the convocation, academic freedom and intellectual property.
