Health and Safety Week 2026

PSAC-Quebec’s OHS standing committee is pleased to announce OHS Week 2026, which will run from November 15 to 21 with the theme “Prevention starts on the ground.”

The goal of this initiative is to make occupational health and safety central in our workplaces by emphasizing three key elements: outreach, information and mobilization.

This week is all about putting OHS committees front and centre, engaging with members and, most importantly, hearing about members’ workplace concerns.

Why participate?

Health and safety should be an ongoing commitment, not an afterthought when an accident occurs. A safe workplace is built day by day.

Throughout the week, we will be meeting with members, listening to their experiences and elevating their concerns to the provincial OHS committee and the union.

Each local can tailor its participation based on its specific circumstances and resources. The goal is to dedicate this week to prevention, outreach and mobilization. The OHS standing committee will also create social media posts, tools and visual materials for locals to use, including a poster to promote the initiative in the workplace.

We look forward to a very large turnout to help make this OHS Week a province-wide event.

Prevention starts on the ground!

In solidarity,

Louis Mallet
