Phoenix: Federal Employees Take to the Streets

Montreal, September 17, 2018 – The Quebec Region of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC-Quebec) is inviting the media to attend this week’s Phoenix mobilization activities.

Now that Parliament is back in session in Ottawa, three lunch-hour mobilization activities are scheduled this week in Quebec City.Readers will recall that PSAC is demanding a national public inquiry and compensation for federal employees.

This week’s schedule:

Montreal: September 18, 2018 from noon to 1 p.m., CFB Longue-Pointe, 6363 Notre-Dame East

Quebec City: September 19, 2018 from noon to 1 p.m., CFB Valcartier, Autoroute de la Bravoure (Highway 573)

Laval: September 20, 2018 from noon to 1 p.m., Canada Revenue Agency, 3400 Jean-Béraud Avenue

Yvon Barrière, Regional Executive Vice-President of PSAC-Quebec, will be demonstrating alongside members affected by the troubled Phoenix pay system.

Last week’s PSAC-Quebec solidarity event in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu was attended by over 150 members.
