Phoenix: No End to Problems Wreaking Havoc on Employees!

Jonquière, January 16, 2018 – The Public Service Alliance of Canada is inviting the media to a press conference at which two PSAC members, federal public service workers, will speak out about the Phoenix pay system problems they have been enduring for almost six months.

Problems caused by the rollout of Phoenix have been plaguing more than 150,000 federal public service employees since February 2016. Some 1,500 employees in Sagueay-Lac-St-Jean are paid under the system. Frustration has complelled two of them to come forward in the hope of a resolution to their situation and an apology from the government, their employer.

They will be accompagnied by their PSAC representatives, Daniel Gagnon and Hugues Bolduc of Union of Taxation Employees Local 10004 (Jonquière Taxation Cenre), and Magali Picard, Regional Executive Vice-President of PSAC-Quebec.
