A look back at 2025: Tangible results for PSAC-Quebec members

In 2025, PSAC-Quebec centred its efforts on various issues that directly affect members, including Quebec anti-union bills, workforce adjustments in the federal government, collective bargaining and mobilization. We delivered tangible results on these issues, from training and on-the-ground support to various gains.

“Last year, we made real inroads for our members. In 2026, we’ll keep the momentum going and continue to drive our members’ priorities forward,” said Sébastien Paquette, Executive Vice-President for PSAC-Quebec.

Education

Throughout 2025, PSAC‑Quebec held 27 educational events, reaching 302 members through workforce adjustment (WFA) training sessions and a first webinar on AI in the workplace, which will be expanded into a tour around Quebec.

Mobilizing in the face of political challenges

Faced with a challenging political and legislative context, PSAC-Quebec ramped up its lobbying efforts, continued to mobilize, and kept touching base with its Quebec partners.

Coming up in 2026

PSAC-Quebec is preparing for the next Quebec Council meeting, which is scheduled for the first week of February and will feature a meeting with the national officers on February 5 and 6. We are also preparing for our 12th Regional Convention, which will be held in Saint-Hyacinthe in May. Finally, a Quebec tour on AI in the workplace will be announced shortly. It will provide an opportunity to meet with members, take stock of their realities, and offer better support on the ground.
