Regional Convention 2026 – Call for Nominations
PSAC-Quebec is officially opening nominations for the elections that will be held at the Triennial Convention on May 24, 2026. Starting today, any members who wish to do so may submit their nomination for:
- Regional Executive Vice-President (REVP)
- Alternate Regional Executive Vice-President (Alternate REVP)
To be eligible, you must be a member in good standing and live or work in Quebec, but you do not have to be a delegate to the convention. However, the nominator and seconder must be official delegates to the convention.
Online nominations will be accepted until May 8 at 11:59 p.m. and elections will be held on May 24, 2026.
Only nominations received online by the May 8 deadline will be eligible to participate in the debate on Saturday, May 23 at 5:00 pm.
If you do not intend to attend the convention, you must submit your nomination before 11:59 PM on May 21, 2023.
Nominations may also be made on the convention floor during elections.
Nominations for REVP and Alternate REVP
The Quebec Council starts by appointing a Nominations Committee, whose composition is ratified by vote on the convention floor. The Chair of the Committee (a current or former AEC officer) is appointed by the Quebec Council to oversee the election of the REVP and Alternate REVP.
The Regional Coordinator is in charge of facilitating the nomination process in advance of the convention. He is responsible for ensuring that the nominations are filed in writing and signed by the nominator and seconder, making sure each is an official delegate to the convention.
